The Capability to Manage Knowledge and Information

This capability is a combination of knowledge management and information management. Importantly, the two are not the same. “Knowledge management” involves ensuring the acquisition and implementation of knowledge between employees and external stakeholders. “Information management” involves storing, retrieving, and analysing information, usually using information and communication technology (ICT).

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Identify the key processes that build your business’ capability to manage knowledge and information;
Identify the symptoms of underperformance with regard to each process of this capability; and
Assess your business’ performance in each process of this capability.
