The Capability to Meet Quality Requirements
Customers may buy your product or service because they find it attractive, interesting and think that it will meet their needs. But after they make their initial purchase, will they buy from you again? Will they tell their friends and family about your offering and how great it was? They won’t if it does not satisfy their quality requirements!
But, what do we mean by “quality”? After all, a cheap hotdog and a gold-flaked truffle soufflé can both be considered “quality” meals… it just depends what you are looking for!
Basically, the capability to meet quality requirements is the capability of ensuring that what you offer meets all legal, environmental, and social norms and regulations, as well as all the voluntary standards and product specifications put in place by your buyer. It is thus not a question of how expensive or “luxurious” your product is, but rather a question of whether you are able to adequately meet your buyers’ needs.
